stelliferous   [ste-lif-er-uhs]
Definition: Having or abounding with stars.

The stars are the "stars" during this live guided tour of the upcoming month’s skies with a staff astronomer, who will talk about where our stars, planets and constellations are headed in our night skies. We’ll also share the most current events in the world of astronomy and open the floor for an always-fun question and answer session. Stelliferous is great for curious adults and inquisitive kids alike.

Dr. Derek Buzasi is an Eminent Scholar at Florida Gulf Coast University, where his research interests include almost anything having to do with stars. Derek has published more than 120 papers, and has also worked on a variety of major instrument teams, including Detector Scientist for the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph, part of the Hubble Space Telescope's most recent upgrade, and Principal Investigator for the Wide-Field Infrared Explorer satellite. He currently serves on the Science Team for NASA's planet-finding Kepler mission.
