stelliferous   [ste-lif-er-uhs]
Definition: Having or abounding with stars.

The stars are the "stars" during this live guided tour of the upcoming month’s skies with a staff astronomer, who will talk about where our stars, planets, and constellations are headed in our night skies. We’ll also share the most current events in the world of astronomy and open the floor for an always-fun question and answer session. Stelliferous is great for curious adults and inquisitive kids alike.

Join us for a special extended Stelliferous (7:00-9:00 pm) as we continue our celebration of the James Webb Space Telescope with a screening of the awarding-winning film The Hunt for Planet B. Capturing the human drama behind NASA’s high-stakes Webb Space Telescope, The Hunt for Planet B follows a pioneering group of scientists—many of them women—on their quest to find another Earth among the stars. What begins as a real-time scientific adventure turns into a deep meditation on our place in the universe. As usual, the evening will begin with drinks and conversation at 6:30 pm.

Stelliferous Live is $15 for members of the Discovery Society; $20 all others.

Advance registration required. To ensure social distancing, we will be unable to accommodate walk-ins. Masks are recommended but not required.
