This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday July 21

10:00 AM  –  11:00 AM

Members of the Discovery Society are invited to join us for an exclusive experience on July 21 that will allow you to experience the universe — from its smallest wonders to its biggest, light bending scales — during small-group sessions hosted by our curators and astronomy experts.

Itinerary

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your start time.
  • You will enter our West Hall to experience the Small Wonders: Insects in Focus exhibits that are not yet on public display and make your way to The Planetarium.
  • The Planetarium program will begin promptly at 10 minutes after the hour.
  • Your Planetarium experience will conclude at half past the hour. At that time we will break into small groups.
    • As you complete your registration, please select which small group session you would like to incorporate into your experience.

Small Groups Sessions

  • "Bug Hunt" with a curator - Join one of our curators as they take you on a special tour of our newest special exhibition Small Wonders: Insects in Focus. No need to bring a magnifying glass, these images are huge, but of course, you may want to take a closer look.
  • "AHA" Ask Howard Anything - Sit down with our astronomy expert, Howard Hochhalter, in The Planetarium lobby and discuss theories of the Universe (or the topics of your choice). Bring your most out-of-this-world wonderings with you!

Members and their guests (up to your total # of admissions per visit) are FREE!

Additional Guests are $5
